On Sunday, January, 31, 2010, the Kirkland Choral Society joined Seattle’s First United Methodist Church choir in celebrating the consecration of the church’s new building located on 2nd and Denny in downtown Seattle. The afternoon festivities included a Cornerstone Laying, followed by a Service of Consecration over which Bishop Grant Hagiya presided. Dr. Glenn Gregg, who directs both choirs, led the 90+ voices in four songs of celebration, including Handel’s magnificent Hallelujah Chorus.
