Request an Audition

Auditions are ongoing throughout the season. All voice parts are welcome to audition. ​

At the audition, you will do simple sight-singing, a vocal range check, and demonstrate your pitch memory. ​​Please prepare a short excerpt of a song of your choice (art song, folk song, hymn, etc.) with or without accompaniment.

Rehearsal Time & Location

KCS rehearses from 7:15 to 9:45 pm on Wednesday evenings, from September through late April/mid-May (depending on date of last concert) at Lake Washington United Methodist Church in Kirkland.

Concerts & Locations

KCS performs three concerts per season, in early December, late February, and late April or early/mid May. Concerts are usually Sunday matinees. An additional performance of the December concert is typical and is most commonly a Saturday matinee.

KCS concerts most often take place at Bastyr University Chapel in Kenmore.

Member Expectations

• Minimum 90% attendance at weekly Wednesday evening rehearsals ​
• Commitment to participate in upcoming scheduled concerts
• At-home practice as needed to master notes and rhythms (MP3 and MIDI practice aids are provided)
• Quarterly donations to help sustain the choir, as you are able
